I suggested that Mr. Hager wait until he has this variance approval before he takes his curb cut request to the BPW. This info is not required. Can you provide a copy of the deed to the house that shows you as the owner? Or something similar? 7. Yes that is okay. You can also talk about the remodeling adding to the property value of the site and the neighborhood. 8. Yes, state reasons why you think the 4 variance requests should be granted. (This will be similar to when you finish each statement and fill out page 8 of the application - Findings of Fact). 10 - the dimensions of the property will be okay for this. Page 5 of the application - Notice of public hearing - can be used as the template to mail out the certified letters to the adjoining property owners and sent to the Indy Star for the public hearing ad. This can be done once the Dept issues the docket numbers. All 4 docket numbers can be placed in one ad and in one certified mailing. (if you want, you can also mail the adj property owners a site plan of what you are proposing). I Hope this answers all your questions! Let me know if you need more help. Is this info required? It is blank on all of my purchase/deed paperwork. If yes who do I call to get it? 7. reg 8.04.03 B explaination = current structure it in conflict. After renovation and subsequent connecting wall construction it will still be in conflict. The conflict is against an unimproved alley. The purpose ofthe variance is to maintain the current configuration and enhance the dwelling. ok? 8. is this me? 10. is sq ftg ok? 8887.5 sq ft Legal notice? do I place the ad? if so are there wording templates? The rest looks like just the adjacent property list and another notary after I mail them. Stupid question.... what do I mail them? 4/12/2007 Page 1 of2 Conn, Angelina V From: Conn, Angelina V Sent: Thursday, April 12, 2007 10:58 AM To: 'myles hager' Subject: RE: variance application - 230 5th street NE HI, Myles: The notice of public hearing sign can be bought at any sign company or sometimes a printing/copy company. We are not allowed to give out a specific company name, sorry! We have notaries in our office, if you want to sign the application here. Or, I think bank tellers can be notaries too. you must sign the affidavit in front of the notary. You will be advised of the total fee and payment deadline once we process the application. We will most likely send out the Docket No. assignment via email. The first variance request will be $270 and each of the 3 subsequent will be $83 each. The site plan should show the property lines and the building locations, to scale. I recommend making copies that are reduced in size, such as legal or tabloid sizes 50 it is easier for the Board members to hold and see. Re: the adjoiner list - you can turn that in anytime this week or next week. Re: Gary's engineering letter: we would like a copy of that for the variance file, too. You were in a meeting. I bet your days are super full and I really appreciate your patience. I should be a pro for the next phase! Where does one procure a sign of the nature described in the instructions? Do I get the notary before I get the sign??? Do I pay now? 270+83 right? On the drawings. Since I am only looking at the one variance... Are the ones I brought acceptable? If! need to make additional copies of the large one or draw another to scale smaller I can. Any thoughts on the supporting documentation would be welcome. Also, I rcvd the adjacent prop list so I can now include that. Gary downstairs said He saw no prob wi the driveway plan but needs to send a letter to that effect to the building permit people after the variance is approved since the proj. can not proceed wlout it. 4/12/2007
