HomeMy WebLinkAboutLetter #174 Carolyn Griffin Butler, Bric From:Carolyn Griffin <cegriff@indy.rr.com> Sent:Saturday, January 4, 2025 4:38 PM To:Butler, Bric Cc:Carolyn Griffin Subject:Stout High Density Development Members of the Planning Commission, This le?er comes from me to you to please ask you to think and consider with deep concern & interest the area around the Village of West Clay. The present plan proposed for the Stout property does not help or enhance. I have been involved in the Village of West Clay since its concep?on. George Sweet and Tom Huston put much ?me, energy, and thought into its concep?on. They researched, visited and implemented similar communi?es. And, as it stands today, The Village of West Clay is an extremely desirable place to live, work, play, dine and socialize. The proposed project is not consistent with the Village. It has higher density living, li?le landscaping (no pools, no parks, walking paths, playgrounds) just no ameni?es. Li?le to no buffer space between it and the Village. It will only be a drain on Clay Township. Causing more traffic, more school crowding, more police and fire protec?on. Progress and con?nued growth in inevitable, but please let it be in line with the present values of those living in the Village of West Clay and surrounding neighborhoods.
