Subject:Stout Farm opposition
Dear Mr. Butler,
I’m confident you’re fielding a number of emails such as this one in regard to Taylor Morrison's proposed rezoning of the
Stout Farm property, so I will keep mine brief. As a near 15 year Village of WestClay homeowner, I would like it noted that
I am vehemently opposed to the proposal. Nothing about Taylor Morrison’s proposed neighborhood is in keeping with
the surrounding area, while everything about it stands to nega?vely impact the value, privacy and livability of the
neighborhoods that have been developed before it within the scope of approved zoning rules and guidelines.
As available land in our city becomes more scarce, it is more important than ever to protect the visions of our leaders
who set Carmel on the path to being one of the best communi?es in the US, while honoring the integrity of our carefully
planned, exis?ng neighborhoods, and respec?ng the residents whose decisions to make Carmel home were based on the
belief and trust our interests will be valued over all else.
We will not acquiesce to a na?onal builder with no prior investment in our community that wishes to capitalize on
Carmel’s stellar reputa?on without regard to the vision, guidelines and expecta?ons of those who came before it. Taylor
Morrison has not been a part of the crea?on of Carmel and does not deserve accommoda?ons which would allow it to
shoe-horn a subpar development into any of the few remaining plots of land here.
Sincerely,
Stacy M. Glover
