The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 of latest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials arc hereby pennitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Unifonn Plumbing Code for the State oflndian<.l. All installations shall be
in strict compliance with pertinent City ofCarmeJ ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Se~tion
9-122(a), and sections P3008.1 and.2 of the International Residential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter. I

All installations shall be "aDen trench" inspected and anmoved bv the Carmel Sewer Dcpartment before anv backfilling is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or other sourccs of ground water or stonn water shall be permitted to enter the public sewer.
Sewer insnections should be reauested at (317) 571-2648 one to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CrTY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. Ifany street
must he cut. a senarate street cut nermit shall he ohtained.

Districf(see reverse) and any conditions 'noted below. All installations shall be inspected by District personnel dyring
"open trench" phasRand before backfilling with stone to tweive inches above the pipe. NO footing or foundation drains,
or other sources of ground or stormwater; shall be permittedto'enter the District'.s sanitary sewer system. The District
will assume no liability for drains which are below the grade level of the.nearest downstream manhole nor for laterals
which are extended beneath driveways'or sidewalks. The permit,holder (property owner, developer or builder) will be
responsible for damages to .the District's sewer system. This includes damages to manholes, castings, manhole lids
and the like; caused by construction activity on the building site-whichis the subject of tIlis permit.
Inspectio~s by the District are MANDATORY and shall be arranged by contacting the Distridsoffice at 844-9200
24 hours in advance. All new construction will be 'Placed on billin'g six months after connection has been made or when
water is connected, whichever comes first.
