An explanation of any such deviation shall be included as a requirement on as-built/record drawings submitted for release of performance guarantees. Approved design slopes identified as generating velocities of 2.5 fps or less or 10 fps or greater (at full flow capacity) shall require as-built certification at the time of construction, prior to backfilling the pipe. The contractor is instructed to as- built each section of storm pipe as it is being installed to ensure compliance with the design plans and as approved by the City of Carmel." The top of curb for STR 201 is 901.70, but the gutter grade along the south curb face at the entrance drive is 901.45 and would then route the stormwater runoff down the entrance drive to the existing pavement of the shared drive. This still wouldn't meet the minimum 1- foot above the local ponding elevation, but it would result in an 0.8-foot local ponding elevation. We are asking for a wavier of the 1-foot minimum above the local ponding elevation for STR 201. ---------------------------------------------------------- Reviewer Response: Willie Hall - 7/3/24 1:59 PM The MFPG must be a minimum 1-foot above the local ponding elevation. The ponding shown on Sheet C040.3 did not include any maximum ponding elevations to verify that the MFPG is 1-foot above the local ponding. Per inspection of the Grading & Drainage Plan (Sheet C040.0), it appears that the ponding elevation for Str. No. 201 would be, at a minimum, 901.70 as that is the top of curb elevation. Adding one foot to this elevation results in a MFPG of 902.70 which does not match the MFPG of 898.80 shown on the Grading & Drainage Plan (Sheet C040.0) and is also above the listed FFE of 902.25.
