The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 of latest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials arc hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shall be
in strict compliance with pertinent City of Carmel ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance \vith City Code Section
9-122(a), and sections P3008.l and.2 of the International Residential Code. All building se\vcrs shall be 6" diameter.
All installations shall be "aDen trench" insoceted and aDo roved bv the Carmel Sewer Dcoartment before any backfillinu is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground \vater or storm water shall he permitted to enter the public scwer.
Sewer insoections should be requested at (317) 571-2648 one to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unlcss arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or water) lines shall have a plumbcrs bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. If any street

will assume no liability'for drains which are below the grade level'of the nearest downstream manhole nor for laterals

Inspections by the District are, MANDATORY and shall be arranged by contacting, the District's office at 844-9200
