Engineering Individual Solutions June 20, 2007 Building & Code Services; City ofC31mel One Civic Square Cannel, IN 46032 Attention: Mr. J31nes Blanchard Re: Demolition Permit Applications Proposed Duke Energy Indiana Carmel 3rd Avenue Substation One Project on Two Parcels, located at 411 2nd Ave. SW and 340 1st Avenue SW Cannel, Indiana ATC Project #86.15230.0036 Dear Mr. Blanchard: Submitted herewith are two Demolition Permit Applications and associated infonnation for the proposed Duke Energy Indiana Carmel3rd Avenue Substation. The proposed substation is to be built on two parcels located in Section 30, Township 18N, and Range 3E as highlighted on the attached site maps. Parcel #1 is the former Hodgin property, tax parcel #16-09-25-04-04-001.000, now owned by Duke Energy Indiana and located at 411 2nd Avenue SW C31mel,IN 46032. Parcel #2 is the Reeder and Kline property, tax parcel #16-09-25-04-04-002.000, tentativeiy scheduled to be owned by Duke Energy Indiana on July loth, and located at 340 I sl Avenue SW Cmmel, IN 46032. Wells have been plugged and there are no known septic systems or fuel tanks located on the referenced parcels. Parcel #1 has one (I) building and some concrete that wil! be removed and Parcel #2 has two (2) buildings and pavement that will be removed li'om the site as marked on the attached Site Plan. The demolition materials will be removed from the site and there will be no disposal on-site. Upon your approval, the demolition is tentatively scheduled to begin following the property closing on Parcel #2 on July 10th and continue for approximately six (6) weeks until the demolition materials are removed from the site. A Stormwater Management Permit Application and SWP3 are also being prepared for the site development following the demolition activities. The pennit applications for the two (2) parcels and Site Plans are attached as required.
