The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 oflatest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe oflatest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. AI] installations shall be
in strict compliance with pertinent City ofCarmc] ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance \1,.'ith City Code Section
9-122(a), and sections P3008.1 and .2 of the International Residential Code. All building sewcrs shall be 6" diameter.
All installations shall be "aDen trench" insoected and aDoroved bv the Carmel Sewer Deoartment before anv baekfillinl! is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water conncctions.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground watcr or storm water shall be permitted to enter the public sewer.
Sewer inspcctions should be rcquested at (317) 571-2648 one to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or watcr) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. Jfany street
