Board of Zoning Appeals
February 26, 1968
The 'regular meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals was called to order bp
Greenman on Monday night, February 26th. 1968 with all members present ex-.
cept Wilson. Gradle was present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read
and approved.
Old Business
lA. 7:45 p.m. public hearing on Docket #EA 1-68, special exception application
addition to Victor Central Telephone office, N.W~ corner of 106th & Ruckle,
520 E. 106th street, Homeplace.
Bruce C~aycraft, attorn~y for Indiana Bell made the presentation. Proof of
publication and affidavits were in order. He stated that this was the 2nd
addition to be made since the "building was constructed in August 1956. They
service 6,300 customers now and anticipate rapid growth in the future. There
will be 21 parking spaces. Architecturally compatible with existing building.
This proposed addition will be 61 ft. at the rear of the existing building.
Four employees work at this location and an additional ten work out of this
area. Shrubs wi:J.l be planted along sides of proposed addition. They feel
the special exception is essential if adequate telephone service is to be pro-
vided in and around Clay Twp. in an eff~cientand economical- manner.. No

Mr. Fershtman-construction coordinator for Burger Chef presented "plans. Will
not "have a septic system but will join Town's water & sewer line. Will have a
decelleration and a~celleration lane on bott\ sides of 31 and _. They "will
spend $15,000 more than price of building for .thi. s and~~~ water lines.
Will be landsdaped. Sign has been pulled back 50'fro.. . .t?--P~ers will not
be 'burned in incinerator but will be hauled away. Each manager is responsible
for litter and there will be no litter. Basketweve fenc~ on north side.
He asked for a special -hearing as they have been held up because of change in
the Ordinance.
Egger made the motion that, since Burger Chef & Texaco had been held up un-
necessarily because of change in Ordinance, ~ ~pecial meeting be set up for
March 11th, 1968. This will be a public hearing on Docket #EA 4-68 at 7:50 p.m
Also American Aggregates public hearing will be included in this special meet-
ing. Hash seconded.
