The Board of Zoning Appeals met for a special called meeting on Ma~ch 11, 1968.
All members were, present excep Hash. . Gradle was present.
lA. 7:JO p.m. Public Hearing on Docket #EA 2-68, American Aggregate Company
application for plac~ment of mobile home. Proof of publication and affidavit's
in order. John Whittaker, salesman for American Aggregates was present and
stated that the, foreman at their 96th st. & River Road plant .wi~hes to move his
~obile' home to the site where they, had a permit for, another mobile home which
has been moved. ,
Ralph Minton lives in this area on River Rd. and wonders if this area will be
let run down more than it a~ready is. Trash is being dumped, junk auto's are
on river bank altho he has no object~on to one trailer he doesn't want any
more. Mr. Whittaker saystthey will have a full time night watchman who will
patrol the area and should help control the d~mping problem. Public hearing
closed at 7:40 p.m.
Egger made the motion that the application for Docket
mobile home be approved for one year from this date.

2A. 7:4e p.m. Public Hearing on Docket #EA J-68, special exception application
for Texaco Company service station located at S.W. corner of S.R. 2J4 & Guilforl
Avenue. Ben Weaver attorney present representing Texaco & Grace CosIer who
owns ground. This was zoned for service station and a permit had been issued
but an amendment was made to the Zoning Ordinance which required it to be pre-
sented as a special exception. The state highway has approved the driveway per-
mit and the State Fire Marshall has approved plans for pumps & tanks. Texaco
will tie on to the Towns water and sewer lines.
Mr. & Mrs. ~niel Olson, own pro~erty adjoining on the south, asked if it was
a foregone conclusion that this service station was going to be built. The
answer was yes as this has been zoned for roadside business and that includes
filing station.
J.F. Rowan, Commander of American Legion stated they were concerned about the
sign.
Public Hearing closed at 7:58 p.m.
Sign on plan is 2l'above grade and 6'x4' over-all,size is no problem but loca-
tion does not go along with Ordinance. The plan shows sign 6J' back from cente'
line and this does not cnnform to the Ordinance.
Egger made tl?e ~otion that the special exception application for Docket #BA J-6l
be granted as, proposed. Porteous seconded.

exception be granted with exception of rotating sign in location shown.
