2. Discuss proposed project with DOCS staff (please call for an appointment to discuss
review procedure and appropriate dates) first week of the month, works the best to
begin a project.
3. INFORMATION NEEDED for formal DOCS staff and Plan Commission review:
a. Two copies of formal application with required information _

c. Two location maps showing location of subject site, zoning and existing land
uses of all adjacent properties.

Rachel,
Yes, I will bring pictures of current entrances. However, we will be doing all new
landscape for the entrances as the new signs are located slightly closer to the street.
We plan on planting smaller perennials in front of the signs and possibly a small scrub on
each side of the signs. All the landscaping will be the same for each sign. I will bring
the landscape ideas i.e. picture and drawing with me for the meeting.
Also, I am aware of the concern the Dept. has regarding the "Private Property" sign on the
bottom of the main sign. I will be meeting with the President of the Ass'n. regarding
this. I believe he didn't take into consideration the fact that a school is located in
our neighborhood when doing this. My guess is that we will be changing that to "No
Soliciting"
instead.
Regarding the lighting. To date, I have not found a direct ground solar light that does
not require an electrical outlet. I am continuing to look, but unless we can find
something that will work without electricity, we will not be able to use lighting.
