2. Mailed and Published Public Notice needs to occur no later than Friday, July 13. Published notice is
required within the Indianapolis Star. Note: the placement of a public hearing sign on the property is also
required by the BlA Rules of Procedure, Article VI, Section 6 (see attached pdf).
3. The Proof of Notice will need to be received by this Department no later than NOON, Friday, July 20.
Failure to submit Proof of Notice by this time will result in the tabling of the petition.
4. The Filing Fee and Nine (9) Informational Packets must be delivered to BZA Secretary Connie Tingley
no later than 3:00 PM, Friday, July 13. Failure to submit Informational Packets by this time will result in the

FINDINGS OF FACT - DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS VARIANCE (Ballot Sheet)
1. The approval of this variance will not be injurious to the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of the
community because it is merely the replacement of existing signage with new signs in the same location of
substantially similar size, construction and illumination.
2. For the same reasons, the use and value of the area adiacent to the property included in the variance will not be
affected in a substantially adverse manner. Additionally. the proposed signs are attractive and unobtrusive in
terms of construction and illumination.
3. The strict application of the terms of the Zoning Ordinance to the property will result in practical difficulties in
the use of the property. Because of the intricate logo and letter style used in the proposed signs, it would be
practically difficult, if not impossible, to construct the same signs using a smaller area and still have the signs
visible from Meridian Street. Even though the proposed signs use more measurable area, because of the
intricate logo and the more delicate letter style, they are less obtrusive and more discreet in appearance than
the previous signage.

EXHIBIT "B"
The strict application of the terms of the Zoning Ordinance to the property will result in
practical difficulties in the use ofthe property. Because of the intricate logo and letter
style used in the proposed signs, it would be practically difficult, if not impossible, to
construct the same signs using a smaller area and still have the signs visible from
Meridian Street. Even though the proposed signs use more measurable area, because of
the intricate logo and the more delicate letter style, they are less obtrusive and more
discreet in appearance than the previous signage.
The approval of this variance will not be injurious to the public health, safety, morals and
general welfare of the community because it is merely the replacement of existing
signage with new signs in the same location of substantially similar size, construction and
illumination.
For the same reasons, the use and value of the area adjacent to the property included in
the variance will not be affected in a substantially adverse manner. Additionally, the
proposed signs are attractive and unobtrusive in terms of construction and illumination.

Re: St. Vincent Health. Inc. - Application for Variance from Sign Ordinance
Dear Ms. Boone:
Please find enclosed an application for a development standards variance on behalf of St. Vincent
Health, Inc. ("St. Vincent"). St. Vincent is seeking a variance in order to replace four (4) existing wall
signs on the building located at 10330 North Meridian Street (the "Building").
Enclosed please find:
1) Two (2) executed copies of the application form.
2) Two (2) copies of a location and zoning map, showing the zoning for the parcel and the
surrounding area.
3) Two (2) copies of photos of the Building with the current signage.
4) Two (2) copies of renderings of the Building with the proposed replacement signs.
5) Two (2) copies of the certified list of adjacent property owners.
In light of our accelerated timeline to make the July 23 meeting, I would greatly appreciate being
assigned a docket number as soon as possible.
