AS AMENDED
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CARMEL. INDIANA. AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AN
ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FROM THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY
FUND TO THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, an amount of $551 ,000 is needed to cover the unanticipated expenses in the 2007
Budget of the Department of Engineering for the construction multiple multi-use paths; and
WHEREAS, the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund has excess funds in the amount of Five Hundred
Fifty One Thousand Dollars ($551,000) to appropriate to the line item(s) for the unanticipated
expense( s).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel of
Carmel, Indiana, that the following additional sum of money is hereby appropriated out of the Motor
Vehicle Highway Fund Operating Balance and for the purposes specified, subject to applicable laws, as
follows:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project is approximately 2200 LF of concrete sidewalk connecting 4th Ave to Thomhurst Dr. along
the north side of Main 51. The sidewalk is six feet (6') in width and the project also includes concrete
walk and ramp installation or replacement, extending a drainage structure, grading, and sodding of
disturbed areas,
