Docket No. 73-02 ADLS Amend; Marriott Suite Hotels - Ground Sign The applicant seeks ADLS Amendment approval for a proposed ground sign. The site is located at 11895 North Meridian Street. The site is zoned B-6 (Business) and is within the US 31/Meridian Street Overlay Zone. Filed by Tracy Ogden of REI Investments, Inc. The applicant is requesting ADLS Amendment approval of a new sign to be placed at the entrance to the hotel parking lot along Pennsylvania Street (See information packet for elevations and details, distributed with agenda last month). The applicant appeared before the Special Studies Committee last month at which time the item was continued and the applicant was asked to do the following: 1. Revise the materials on the sign to be consistent with the building design. 2. Make the two sign consistent with one another. 3. Reduce the height of the sign, perhaps place the two business identifications next to one another. The department would look for the applicant to address the concerns raised by the committee at the meeting. In addition to ADLS approval, the applicant needs approval of two variances by the BZA. The Department recommends that the Special Studies Committee approve the ADLS application after all comments and concerns have been addressed.
