ENGiNEERING. INC June 7, 2007 Greg Hoyes Hamilton County Surveyors Office One Hamilton County Square Noblesville, IN 46060 RE: Drainage Permit Application, Lot 5, West Canuel Marketplace. Dear Greg: We have prepared drainage calculations for the water quality st.orm sewer structure, Aqua-Swirl Hydrodynamic Separator Unit, Model Number AS-3. The required SCS Type II distribution for One Inch of rainfall in 24 hours and modeling impervious and pervious areas as separate basins was utilized as input into the attached ICPR simulations. The result of the 24-hour duration storm rainfall event is outline in the report. The peak flow of 0.056 cfs (maximum allowable 0.50 cfs, as per City of Indianapolis Stormwater Quality Unit Selection guide), with a HGL of 880.54. . We have prepared drainage calculations for the entire Lot 5 contai.ning 1.092 acres. Based on NRCS Type II Rainfall Distribution and 24 hour duration along with maximum 0.1 cfs per acre runoff during the 10 year developed condi.tion (3.83 inch rainfall taken from table 201-3) and on maximum 0.3 cfs per acre runoff during the 100 year developed condition (6.46 inch rainfall taken from table 201-3). The 10 Year developed condition nmoffwas calculated to be 0.100 cfs. The ] 00 year developed condition runoff was calculated to be 0.174 efs. Both ICPR Simulations utilized a rectangular weir 6" x 0.5" modeled at the downstream end of link "P2" (at inlet to Stormwater Quality Unit). The stonn sewer system will be connected to an existing storm sewer inlet at the southeast comer of the subject site, this storm inlet is part of a storm system that outfalls into a regional detention pond near the subject site. The storm water pollution prevention plan for this site was submitted for review to the local SWCD Office. I would like to request your approval of the drainag'e plan for Lot 5.
