Docket No. 07080006 ADLS Amend: Thomson - Signage The applicant seeks approval for 17 new signs. The site is located at 10330 N. Meridian St. It is zoned B-l/Business in Meridian at 465. Fi led by 1i m Shinaver of Nelson and Frankenberger. The appl icant seeks committee approval for ] 7 new signs; these will replace sign faces and/or text of 17 existing signs. Please see your packets for specific placement and sign details. There will be 10 directional. 3 entrance, 2 wall and 2 ground signs. 5 of these signs, the 3 entrance and 2 wall signs, required variances for signage area and were granted appro va] of Docket Nos. 07070061 V - 07070065 V at the Monday, August 27th meeting of the BZA. Thomson's new corporate brandi ng colors are red, black and si1 ver. The Department supports these colors on the directional signs and the ground ID sign (# 4). However, the Department would prefer the 2 wall signs (# 2 and 13) show color during the day and light up white at night. This would better match the signage of the complex, where the main Administration building (St. Vincent Health), was recently approved for black letters during the day and to shine white at night. The Department would also prefer that the front monument sign (# 9) be painted black to match the other signs on the Meridian at 465 monument ground sign. The directional signs will have a new face placed over the existing structure. These signs will not be illuminated. The ground ill sign (# 4) face will have a new pane] placed within the cabinet and will be internally i]luminated. The entrance signs (# 3, 7 and ]2) will not be illuminated and will be mounted directly to the wall. The front monument (#9) will not be illuminated. The two wall signs (# 2 and 13) will be internally illuminated channel letters. Note: This item only requires final approval by this committee. The Department of Community Services recommends the Special Studies Committee approve the request after all comments and concerns have been addressed.
