The west fa.;ade sign will rcad "Goodwill" and the north fa~ade sign will read "Donations". The signs will be located within Maplecrest Commons, a de.velopment that currently has a sign package that permits two sign color options: white or red faces with black returns. The Goodwill sign on the west will be 81 sq. f1. and the donations sign on the north is 14.25 sq. ft. in area. The permitted square footages are 90 sq. ft. and 75 sq. fL, respectively. Therefore, both signs fit within the size requirements. The proposed sign color is blue. The Department would prefer the sign to show blue during the day and shine white at night, if possible, to match other signage in the center. No variance approvals will be required from the BZA. The Department of Community Services recommends the Special Studies Committee approve the request after all comments and concerns have been addressed.
