Dear Mr. Dauss:
At the meeting held Monday, July 23, 2007, the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals took the following action regarding the
Development Standards Variances (V) filed by ),do for the property located in West Carmel Marketplace.
APPROVED: Docket Nos. 07050018 V. 07050020-07050021 V & 07070014 V Development Standards Variances for
maximum parking requirements; maximum number of drive-through menu boards; maximum percentage of logos on
permitted signs4ogo definition; and stacking spaces along the side of the building with the Commitment the base of the
menu board would match the brick of the building.
Please be advised that per Section 30.05.05: Time Limit of the Zoning Ordinance, the aforementioned Development
Standards Variance approvals are valid for one (1) year. By that time, either continuous construction of the improvements
must be underway, or a written request for a one-time. six-month extension of the approval must have been received and
approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is July 23, 2008.
Please be advised that per Section 25.07.07: Sign Permits of the Zoning Ordinance, the sign approved pursuant to the
aforementioned Development Standards Variances must be established within one (1) year. The expiration date of the
approval is July 23, 2008.
When applying for applications for permits regarding the improvements contained within this approval, please
include a copy of this letter with your application materials in order to assist the Department's review.

The Carmel Plan Commission took the following action at its meeting July 17, 2007 regarding the Development
Plan and Architectural Design, Lighting. Landscaping and Signage (DPIADLS) application for a proposed Burger
King Restaurant located at 9353 North Michigan Road within the US 421 Overlay.
APPROVED: West Carmel Marketplace Burger King. Docket No. 07040019 DPIADLS. The application
for a proposed Burger King Restaurant located at 9853 North Michigan Road in West
Carmel Marketplace, within the US 421 Overlay Zone, was approved as presented.
In order to assist the Department's review, please attach a copy of this letter when making application for permits
regarding the improvements contained within this approval.
