Mr. Mike Hollibaugh, Director
Department of Community Services
City of Carmel
One Civic Square
Carmel IN 46032
Dear Mr. Hollibaugh,
Imp
k.? l
We would like to make it known that College Park Church is acting as the builder for the
property at 10255 Orchard Park West Drive, Carmel, Indiana.
We are in the process for applying for a permit with the City of Carmel for remodeling the house. This is
strictly a benevolent activity on our part to assist a family in our congregation needing modifications to
their house to better accommodate children with physical handicaps and the church will not profit
financially from this activity in any way.
We would respectfully request a reduction of the fees associated with this building permit due to the
charitable nature of the work being done for this family. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Joe Rice
Administrative Pastor

Thanks Trudy. I have read the letter explaining the unique nature of the circumstances that surround the request
for the reduction in permit fees. I believe this is a circumstance where it is appropriate that we wave the permit
and inspection fees. Please make a note of that for the file, and insert this email for the record. Thanks for your
help and follow-up on this.
Mike

Subject: Permit for College Park Church
Good morning, Mike
College Park Church is applying for a building permit to remodel and add on to a house belonging to one of its
families. This project is not-for-profit, and the administrative pastor, Joe Rice, sent a letter requesting "a reduction
of the fees associated with this building permit due to the charitable nature of the work being done for this family"
The house needs modifications "to better accommodate children with physical handicaps and the church will not
profit financially from this activity in any way."
Please advise as to what, if any, fees DOCS should charge this permit
Thank you
