If you have not taken care of this already, the following requests for copies of certain parts of the
approved plan come from members of our Planning and Zoning office. Verification that copies
have been received and stamped as approved will be required for submittal for the building
permit.
1. Please submit three (3) copies of the approved site plan to Scott Brewer, DOCS, One Civic Square, Carmel,
IN, 46032. You will be notified when your stamped copies are ready for pickup. Contact: Scott Brewer, City
Forester/Environmental Planner. One Civic Square; Carmel. IN 46032. Phone: (317) 571-2478. FAX (317) 571-2426
2. Please submit two (2) copies of the architectural elevation drawings for the structure to Angelina Conn, DOCS,
One Civic Square, Carmel, IN, 46032, You will be notified when your stamped copies are ready for pickup.

Also, kve will need to confirm with Dick Hill of the City Engineer's office and/or with John
Duffy of Carmel Utilities that there will be no additional water,/sewer connection and/or
availability permit due for this building. If there is, you will need to either pay for this permit
ahead of time, or bring a check to the submittal meeting. We will need the name of the
contractor who will be doing the excavation of the exterior, lateral connection to the utility
line. That contractor must hold a current bond xvith the City. Additionally, some of these fees
may have to be approved through the Board of Public Works and Safety. Please contact Dick
Hill, at dhffl@carmel.in.gov or at (317) 371-2441, for inore information regarding this issue.

• A detailed Certified Engineer's Estimate and Performance Bond for Erosion Control.
• Project is on the 10/17 BPWS agenda for Water and Sanitary Sewer Availability approval.
• Payment of Water and Sanitary Sewer Connection Fees after all Engineering requirements are
satisfied including drawing approval.
I will defer to Gary Duncan and Nick Redden regarding final construction plan approval and to Amanda
Foley re: Storm Water permits.

I actually still have issues with the SWPPP for this project. This is in Carmel Engineering jurisdiction, so I think
Bob Thompson from the County was confused about which project this was (isn't there a Red Robin Burgers
going in on Michigan outside Engineering jurisdiction). I talked to the Engineer for the project this morning and
am waiting on one more small item before being able to approve the plans. I will update you as soon as this last
item is received.

Per my email on September 13, we do not have any issues with approval provided that any and all sitework was
previously approved and has been constructed and you will be connecting to existing sanitary, storm and water
mains and stubs. I do not believe that this was ever confirmed.
Also per my email, you will still need to contact Fred Glaser to see if a right-of-way permit is required for use of
the existing entrance for construction access.
