The following requests for copies of certain parts of the approved plan come from members of
our Planning and Zoning office. Verification that copies have been received and stamped as
approved wrill be required for submittal for the building permit.
1. Please submit three (3) copies of the approved site plan to Scott Brewer, DOCS, One Civic Square, Carmel,
IN, 46032. You will be notified when your stamped copies are ready for pickup. Contact: Scott Brewer, City
Forester/Environmental Planner. One Civic Square; Carmel. IN 46032. Phone: (317) 571-2478. FAX (317) 571-2426
2. Please submit two (2) copies of the architectural elevation drawings for the structure to Angelina Conn, DOCS,
One Civic Square, Carmel, IN, 46032. You will be notified when your stamped copies are ready for pickup.

Also, we will need to confirm with Dick Hill of the City Engineer's office and/or with John
Duffy of Carmel Utilities if there will be a waterisew'er connection and./or availability permit
due for this building. If there is, you will need to either pay for this permit ahead of tune, or
bring a check to the submittal meeting. We will need the name of the contractor who will be
doing the excavation of the exterior, lateral connection to the utility line. That contractor must
hold a current bond with the City. Additionally, some of these fees may have to be approved
through the Board of Public Works and Safety. Please contact Dick Hill, at dh.il1PCarmel.in.gov
or at (317) 571-2441, for more information regarding this issue.

They have the address as 937 instead of 739 and they have it as Wilson Office Park Building instead of 739
Keystone Way Blding (like on the plan). I just want to make sure that all the departments have the right info.

Dear Shae
On the landscape plan, I will also need all utility or drainage lines, structures, and easements to make sure there
are no conflicts with landscaping materials scheduled for construction. So, if you can have Hittle place the
landscaping information on a construction plan set, it would be very helpful. There also needs to be a plant
schedule, any planting notes or specifications, and graphic planting details on the landscape planes. I can attach
Carmel's and those can be used if needed.
We also do not allow ornamental pears to be planted on projects where we have jurisdiction. They are short lived
and invasive, among other problems. If you would like to forward this on to Nancy Hittle, you may. I do not have
her email contact that I know of.

Steve or Shae-Good Morning. I Received your drawings this a.m. This project went to TAC on 7/18/07
but Nick Redden, our plan reviewer, only received the architectural elevations/floor plans and not
detailed civil type drawings that we normally require in order to provide comments so I don't believe that
Engineering has provided formal comments. I have copied them both on this email so they can
respond. I have the following questions:
• It is indicated that this is a previously approved building. Who was it approved by? By
Engineering?
• Did the previous approval include Water and Sewer Availability approval from the BPWS? If
not, this approval will be required. The next available BPWS meeting date is 1013/07. Please
provide the total square footage of all floors of the building. Water and Sanitary Sewer
Connection Fees (and EDUs) will be calculated on use and square footage. Assume it will be
an office building? If it has received BPWS approval and if you have already paid Water and
Sanitary Sewer Connection Fees, please provide the approval date and appropriate receipts.
I do not do project review so Gary and/or Nick will have to respond regarding this aspect of the project.

You will not be required to receive a Stormwater Management Permit since this is a pre-approved building lot.
However, the City will require you to adhere to our standards regarding erosion and sediment control. Attached
are the requirements f6r individual building lots.
Please ensure the following:
Silt fence, inlet protection on adjacent storm inlets, and a construction entrance are installed before any
construction on site occurs.
Ensure all paved areas (parking lots and streets) are kept clear of sediment at all times.
Building debris and trash should be disposed in an enclosed waste receptacle.

Construction Sequence
1. Install construction entrance.
2. Install perimeter protection.
