The Dept report will go out today around 2 pm. Would you like to include any architectural design commitmenls or photo
examples? Or address any of the concerns that came up at the august 7 committee meeting? The committee members
will want an update pribr to the meeting, or you may run the risk of them tabling your item to the October 2 meeting.

Thank you Mike. As stated in the letter, the Department would prefer the lots to be served by a cul-de-sac per 6.03.19 (3)
and not by a frontage place per 6.03.1 9 (1). In the event that a proper variance from 6.03.19 is obtained, the Department
will only support a request for a maximum of two drive cuts at the northernmost point on Ditch and the easternmost point
on 141 st Street. These access points are subject to review and approval by the Board of Public Works and Safety.

This is my understanding:
Forestal Estates:
We are able to get a building permit for the one lot and get the house under construction and then finish with platting
issues.
;k'Lakeland Subdivision:
We will meet with engineering to discuss road issue regarding the geometries and any revised drainage issues,
We will file for a subdivision waiver for the geometries of the street (Section 6.03 of the Zoning ordinance). We will get
revised plans to the TAC members to stay on the current schedule.
Will be setting a meeting with Scott Brewer to discuss landscaping and tree preservation.
Please let me know if I have miss stated any of th is information.

Please sl)bmit a revised Secondary Plat afterthe TAC meeting with the above-mentioned cha'nges. Once
these changes have been made and comments addressed, please produce a Mylar copy for signature by
this Department. Two paper copies of the plat must be filed with the Mylar prior to recording, and two
paper copies and a Mylar of the recorded plat must be submitted following recording. Our approval of
the secondary plat (signature) will be forthcomingilpon revision of the plans according to the items listed
above,
Also, the staff has been advised that we cannot present a Secondary Plat to the Director for signature
from this point forward until Terry Kmeskamp (rkrueskamp@carmeLin,gov) in Information Systems has
received an e-mail with an electronic file attached (MicroStation .dgnis preferred, or AutoCad .dwg of
the subdivision) and it (the e-mail) has been copied to myself (aconn@carmel.in.gov). Also, the Dept
would also like a ,pdf file of the plat, as we move toward a paperless office. If you have any questions or
