The petitioner shall incur the cost of the purchasing, placing, and removing the sign. The sign
must be placed in a highly visible and legible location from the road on the propelty that is
involved with the public hearing.
The public notice sign shaH meet the following requirements:
1. Must be placed 011 the subject property no less than 25 days prior to the public
hearing
The sign must follow the sign design
requirements:
Sign must be 24" x 36" - vertical
Sign must be double sided
Sign must be composed of weather
resistant material, such as corrugated
plastic or laminated poster board
The sign must be mounted in a hea vy-duty
metal frame
The sign must contain the following:

HEARING OFFICER OF THE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS FOR THE CITY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Hearing Officer of the Board of Zoning
Appeals for the City of Carmel, Indiana will hold a public hearing (the "Public Hearing")
on the 22nd day of October, 2007, at 5: 15 o'clock p.m. in the Council Caucus Chambers,
Second Floor, City Hall, One Civic Square, Carmel, Indiana 46032 on applications for
developmental standards (sign) variances (the "Application") pertaining to approximately
2.36 acres of real estate commonly known as 11450 N. Meridian Street, Carmel, Indiana
46032 and legally described on Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto.
The Real Estate is zoned 8-6 and is within the U.S. 31 Overlay Zone. The Real
Estate is located west of U.S. 31, and south of 1 16th Street.
Variances were previously granted allowing signage on both the east and west
elevations of the building located on the Real Estate, and this Application requests
variances needed to relocate one (1) sign, not to exceed 20 square feet, from the west
elevation to the east elevation.
Copies of the Application arc on file for examination at the Department of
Community Services, One Civic Square, Carmel, IN 46032, telephone 317/571-2417.
All interested persons desiring to present their views on the Application, either in
writing or verbally, will be given an opportunity to be heard at the above-mentioned.time
and place.
Written objections to the Application that are filed with the Department of
Community Services either prior to or at the Public Hearing will be considered, and oral
comments concerning the Application will be heard at the Public Hearing.
The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found
necessary.
