Fridny, AuguS! 29, 2003 understand that. The area around St. Vincent's Hospital, 86th Street, is not remaining an economically viable area, especially from an office development standpoint. From the standpoint of this being an appropriate planning acti'vity for the community, that was met. As far as its being an appropriate economic situation for the community, this has got so many flaws that [inaudible], I'm prepared to vote on iL There are other ways we can go about this. Mr. Battreall: J just disagree with you, Rick, from the fact for us to go ahead and okay it when we feel like it's a faulty planning area and may not go back and'become a good planning area, I'd rather see it go back and become a good economic development package which I don '( think this is because,of the outlying'area. To turn around and basically enhance what they have done, which I think is a botched deal, I don't feel [inaudible] Mr. Sharp: We may just have to agree to disagree. The deal's done. It's been approved unless something happens along the line to withdraw it. This agreement has no affect on saying it's a go for the project. The project is a go. If it's going to go, do we capture the revenue in a TJp'and use it for improvements'we need anyway? That's where my decision is corriingdown, The rest of it we could probably find ourselves in agreement OIL Mr. Carter: It's certainly not like anyone else who went there or would have gone there would not have paid us the type of dollars we're looking for to do the same projects, Jt;s not as if this is the only game [inaudible], " Call for the question, The vote was three in favor. Mr. Carter and Mr, Battreall opposed, Other Matters None Next Meeting ,There is a public.hearing on September 15,6 p,m. in the Caucus Rooms.
