Dear Mr. Leazenby,
At the meeting held Thursday, July 11, 2002, the Hearing Officer of the Cannel/Clay Board
of Zoning Appeals took the following action regarding the Development Standards Variances filed
by Lynnette Deogracias of Buckingham Companies on behalf of Buckingham Arbors, LLC, for
signage to be located along South Guilford Road:
APPROVED: Docket No. V-131-02, a Development Standards Variance petition of :-,';25.7.02-
2(b): Number & Type to allow two (2) Multi-family Complex Identification Signs. The Hearing
Officer Approved the petition with the Conditions stated below.
APPROVED: Docket No. V-132-02, a Development Standards Variance petition of 925.7.02-
2(e): Location to allow a Multi-family Complex Identification Sign away from the entrance, on.
South Guilford Road. The Hearing Officer approved the petition with the following
Conditions:
1. The petitioner will go before the City of Cannel Board of Public Warks & Safety
for Consent to Encroach in the platted twenty-foot (20') Drainage & Utility
Easement along South Guilford Road prior to applying for a Sign Permit.
2. That the sign manufacture will match the design of the signs already established for
Providence at Old Meridian.

Please provide revised sign elevations to the Division of Plamllng & Zoning for review and
approval prior to applying for a Sign Permit.
*When applying for Sign Permits for this structure, please include a copy of this
letter with your application Inaterials in order to assist the Department's review.
Please be advised that per Section 3055: Time Limit of the Zoning Ordinance, the
aforementioned Development Standards Vari<:lDce approvals are valid for one (1) year. By that
time, either continuous construction of sign improvements must be underway, or a written
request for a one~time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and
approval granted by this Department The expiration date of these approvals is Friday, July 11,
2003.
