I would like to thank you fOf giving me the opportunity to present my variance request
for encroaching a drainage easement for the property located at 472 McLaren Lane. The
horneowHers at the above mentioned address have hired me to build a screened-in deck
off of their existing house per the attached drawings. In doing so, the new addition comes
right up to the rear drainage easement line. According to Carmel Inspector Miser, any
structure within 3' of an easement line must obtain a variance.
So today I am presenting yoU' my design for the Jacobson's new screened-in deck in
hopes that you find this new improvement to be all exciting new addition for the
homeowners as welt as the Reighbors and at the same time not affect the rear drainage
swale in the WiNiams Mil'l Subdivision.
