A request for variance is being presented at the Carmel/Clay Board of Zoning Appeals meeting on the

Civic Square, Carmel, Indiana 46032. This is a Development Standards Variance application to:
Construct a quest house outside of the 25 foot minimum front line setback requirement
Petitioner reauests a variance to Carmel/Clay ordinance 25.01.01.B.3.a.i that requires a 25 foot setback of an
accessory building behind the front line of the principal buildinq Petitioner desires to construct a guest house on
the north side of the primary residence under construction.

public hearing date. The certified "Proof of Publication" affidavit for the newspaper must be available for inspection the
night of the hearing,
LEGAL NOTICE to all adjoining and abutting property owners is also MANDATORY, two methods of notice are
recom mended:
1) CERTIFIED MAIL - RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED sent to adjoining propet"ty owners, (The white receipt
should be stamped by the Post Office at least twenty-five (25) days prior to the public hearing date,)
2) HAND DELIVERED to adjoining and abutting property owners (A receipt signed by the adjoining and abutting
