HomeMy WebLinkAbout07110131 State Release21 November 2007 Re: Cha-Cha expansion Dear Dean: Mr. Dean Burger This letter is to clarify why our architectural opinion is that a state release is not necessary for the Cha-Cha expansion at Clay Terrace. CFO ChaCha The space that you are expanding into was a previously occupied space by another 1020 W.l 16' Street tenant The previous tenant had constructed several of the partitions that will remain in this Indiana Carmel proposed layout Therefore, there is a limited amount of new construction that is being , proposed within our drawings. The linear footage of new partitions as proposed is less 46032 than 73 feet In the general conditions of the Indiana Building Code, section 675 IAC 12- 6-4 states that anything less than 100 linear feet is exempt from needing a state release. There is an existing bathroom in the space, so no new plumbing is required We are adding a small stair and ramp to provide ADA access to the adjoining space but this does not affect the exiting from the space. There are two existing exit doors in the space which will remain as they are currently. We are building a 42" high wall along the ramp in order to mount the required hand railing. According to the general conditions, the partial height wall along the ramp does not count against our linear footage of wall because it is less the 6'-0" call.
