Dear Mr. Shiuaver:
At the meeting held Monday, December 17, 2007, the Carn1el Board of Zoning Appeals took the following action
regarding the Use Variance (UV) and Development Standards Variances (V) filed by you for the property located at
410 First Avenue NE.
APPROVED: Docket No. 07110013 UV,Use Variance for office uses in a residential district with the Condition
the business would be limited to 5 years and a maximum of 4 full-time employees.
DENIED: Docket No. 07110014 V, Development Standards Variance forelimiuation of required bicycle parking.
NO DECISION VOTE (Split vote): Docket No. 07110015 V, Development Standards Variance for elimination of
required sidewalks/paths. Docket No. 07110015 V will need to be re-heard at the January 28,2008 meeting:
According to our Board of Zoning Appeals Rules (Section 30.05.04), it states: "A variance application that is denied is
ineligible to be placed on the agenda for consideration for a period oft\velve (12) months following the date of the
denial. Whenever a variance application is denied, the property involved may not be the subject of a different variance
application, or any special use application or special exception application or rezone proposal, for a period of six (6)
months following the date of the denial."
