The signs advertise for O'Malias Fireplace & Outdoor Living, located at 115 Medical Drive, in the City of Carmel, a property listed under your ownership. All signs located in Clay Township are required to have sign permits according to Section 25.07.07 of the Carmel/Clay Zoning Ordinance, which states the following: Except as otherwise provided in this Ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any person to establish any sign within the jurisdictional area of this Ordinance, or cause the same to be done without first obtaining a sign permit for each sign from the Administrator as required by this Ordinance. Specific regulations apply to different types of signs, depending or) the nature and location of the sign. For these regulations and to obtain a sign permit, please contact Rachel Boone at (317) 571- 2280. Also, please note that BUSINESSES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO DISPLAY TEMPORARY SIGNS, regardless of whether or not the sign is located on the business's premises. According to Section 25.07.01-4 Prohibited Signs, of the Carmel/Clay Zoning Ordinance the following sign(s) are prohibited: (f) Signs consisting of banners, posters, pennants, ribbons, streamers, strings of light bulbs, spinners or similar devices, unless they are permitted specifically by other sections of this Ordinance. This letter shall serve as the first and final warning for this type of violation.
