Al 4(1 .s x: of ?Aq City of Cannel ro? o DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES July 11, 2007 Robert and Kristine Surette lu" 951 Hawthorne Drive Carmel, IN 46033 Re: Zoning Violation - Storage of Recreational Vehicle Dear Robert and Kristine Surette: This letter is being provided to inform you that an inquiry has been made to our department regarding a Recreational Vehicle located at 951 Hawthorne Drive, a property listed under your ownership. An inspection revealed that the concern is valid as per Chapter 25.04 of the Carmel/Clay Zoning Ordinance - Recreational Vehicles which states: Recreational vehicles may not be stored any closer to a lot line than three (3) times the maximum height of the recreational vehicle, except when completely enclosed. Non-motorized recreationakphicles may not be stored on a public right-of-way at any time. Motorized recreational vehicles may be stored on a public right-of-way for a period not to exceed ten (10) days per month. At no time shall parked or stored vehicles be occupied or used for habitation as defined herein. The owner of a recreational vehicle shall not park or store such vehicle in such a manner as to create a dangerous or unsafe condition on the property where parked or stored. Parking or storage of the recreational vehicle while not locked or chocked, whether loaded or not, shall be considered a dangerous and unsafe condition. Please take the necessary steps to bring this property into compliance with the Carmel/Clay Zoning Ordinance by July 23, 2007 to prevent further enforcement action.
