It appears that the concerns are substantiated as a recent site inspection of the property revealed a violation of the Home Oupation standards of §25.18 of the Carmel Zoning Ordinance. The nature of the home occupation standards is to protect residential areas from commercialization. This is achieved by restricting the amount of visible evidence or impact upon the property's residential character. Activities such as the parking of large commercial vehicles in these areas violates these regulations. An inspection of the property on July 10, 2007 revealed a large semi cab parked in the driveway. Parking of such vehicles in residential driveways compromises the residential character of the area and is a violation of the Home Occupation standards of §25.18. Please discontinue the practice of parking such vehicles in this area immediately. Failure to abide by the conditions of the Ordinance will result in additional enforcement action.
