PO Box 40432 Indianapolis, IN 46240 VIA CERTIFIED MAIL RE: CARMEL CITY CODE--WEEDS/GRASS VIOLATION Dear Sir or Madam: This letter is being provided to inform you that the property at 1225 E. 116'h Street, a property list under your ownership, is in violation of Carmel City Code § 6-88 (Ordinance No. D-1557-02) and Indiana Code §36-1-3-6 (bx1). %\ (c) Requirement to cut. All owners of real property ("property") located within the City shall cut and remove weeds and other rank vegetation growing thereon that exceeds an average height of six inches, and shall keep their property clear of debris. Also, it has been brought to the attention of the Department that the site may contain a home occupation. This property is currently zoned residentially (R1), which does not permit for business operations to be run from the property. The only standards that permit for a business to be run from a residential property are the Home Occupation standards of §25.18 and the Sign Ordinance §25.07.02-03 of the Carmel Zoning Ordinance (see Enclosed). The nature of the home occupation standards is to allow a home business to operate with NO visible evidence or impact upon the property's residential character. Activities such as large commercial vehicles, multiple vehicular trips per day, gathering of employees, and storage of materials violates these regulations. Please be sure that any home occupation existing on the property is in complete compliance with this ordinance. Please be advised, if the above referenced violations are not corrected within seven (7) days from the date of this letter, this matter will be brought into compliance by the City of Carmel.
