This letter is to inform you that an inquiry was made to the Department of Community Services regarding a possible City Code Violation at the address listed above. A recent inspection of the property revealed a swimming pool with insufficient enclosure. Please be advised that Section 6-222(f) of the Carmel City Code construes the following conditions to be public health concerns: (2) Enclosures. Private swimming pools, hot tubs and spas containing water shall be in compliance with Indiana State law including 675 IAC 20-4-27 as amended. 675 IAC 20-4-27 (c) (1) Walls or fencing not less than five (5) feet high and completely surrounding the pool and deck area with the exception of self-closing and latching gates and doors, both capable of being locked. Please bring this property into compliance no later than November 26, 2007. Failure to bring this issue into compliance could result in further enforcement action by the City of Carmel.
