DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES ,HOiaaa- Division of Building and Code Services VIA CERTIFIED MAIL July 19, 2007 p Martina Bannon and Jude Ciesielski 225 John Street Carmel, IN 46032 RE: CITY CODE VIOLATION -ANIMALS Dear Sir and/or Madam: This letter is being provided to inform you that an inquiry was made to the Department of Community Services regarding a possible City Code Violation at 225 John Street in the City of Carmel, a property listed under your ownership. An inspection revealed that the concern appears to be valid and that the property is in violation of the Carmel City Code, §6,93 which states that: It shall be unlawful for any person to maintain cows, swine, chickens, horses, sheep, goats or ducks within the limits of the City in any area consisting of less than three (3) acres, except in an Agricultural District. This section shall not apply to the maintenance of horses for riding purposes at authorized stables. Also, please note that the structure intended for the housing of the animals may require permitting. This structure will also need to be removed from the property or proper approvals will need to be obtained immediately. Please bring this property into compliance with the Carmel/Clay City Code by August 3, 2007. Failure to resolve the violation(s) by the specified deadline will result in further enforcement action by the City of Carmel.
