All installations shall be Inspected by District personnel during "open trench" phase and before backfilling with sand or stone to six inches above the pipe. NO footing or foundation drains, or other sources of ground or ston-nwater, shall be permitted to enter the District's sanitary sewer system- The District will assume no liabllify for drains which are below the grade level of the nearest downstrearn manhole nor for laterals which are extended beneath driveways or sidewalks. The permit holder (properly owner, developer or builder) will be responsible. For damages to the District's sewers system including manholes, castings, manhole lids and the like, caused by construction activity on the building site which is the subject of this permit, the permit holder is also responsible. Inspections by the District are MI NV TORY and shall be arranged by contacting the District's office at 844-9240 one to four hours in advance. All new construction vitil be placed on billing six months after connection has been made. All houses, buildings, etc., shall connect to the District's sanitary sewer system within 90 days of notice providing a sewer is within 300 fleet of the property line. 2- No foundation or other storm water drains shall be interconnected to the sewer lateral installed and connected to the District's sanitary sewer. 3. The existing sewer line from the building to the septic tank may only be used if it is located under a building addition, palio, porch or paved driveway and can be air tested to show it is acceptable for re-use- The properly owner shall bear the cost of all testing and pay the District for Inspection of the air test. 4. The owner or contractor shall notify the District prior to covering the installed lateral so that the District can make an inspection to determine compliance with the District's sewer use ordinance. Such notification shall be made one to four hours prior to the need for the inspection. It the inspection fails and a second inspection is required, an additional fee or $55.00 will be charged at the time of the follow up inspection. 5. Property owners are hereby advised that Hamilton County regulates the operation and maintenance of private sewage disposal (septic) systems. County Ordinance No. 8-11-83 provides in part that, upon connection to a public sewer, a septic tank "...shall be abandoned and filled with earthen material in a safe and sanitary manner." Compliance with this ordinance Is strongly encouraged. Please contact the Hamilton County Board of Health for further information. 6. Acceptable Pipe Materials PVC PIPE: SDR 35, ASTM D-3034, SIX INCH PIPE GASKETED JOINTS: ASTM D 3212 GASKETS: ASTM F-477 FITTINGS: SDR-26 7. Bedding: Use fill sand or Number 8, 9 or 11 stone Fill material is to be placed from 6 inches below In 6 inches above the pipe. The trench should be a minimum of 18 Inches wide. 8. Laterals shall be installed no closer than 20 feet from water wells unless water grede,PVC pressure pipe is used meeting SDR 26 and ASTM D-2241 9. Laterals shall terminate within 3 feet of the building unless the conditions in Item 03 above are met. 10. Additional information on District standards and specifications may be obtained from the District's office during business hours of 8:00 a. M. to 12:00 Noon and 1:00 p, m. until 8:401 p, m.
