PLEASE NOTE: Installation of building sewer shall be per the specifications of the Clay Township Regional Waste
District (see reverse) and any conditions rioted below. All installations shall be inspected by District personnel during
"open trench" phase and before backfilling with stone to twelve inches above the pipe. NO footing or foundation
drains, or other sources of ground or stormwater, shall be permitted to enter the District's sanitary sewer system. The
District will assume no liability for drains which are below the grade level of the nearest downstream manhole nor for
laterals which are extended beneath driveways or sidewalks. The permit holder {property owner, developer or builder
will be responsible for damages to the District's sewer system. This includes damages to manholes, castings,
manhole lids and the like, caused by construction activity on the building site which is the subject of this permit.
Inspections by the District are MANDATORY and shall be arranged by contacting the District's office at 544-92
24 hours in advance. All new construction will be placed on billing two months after connection has been made
when water is connected, whichever comes first.

The building & Sewer Shall be pvc sewer pipe meeting ASTN4 specifications 3034 SDR 35 of latest revision: or vitrified clay pipe, meeting
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in "Tiling. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTNI 2321 for pvc pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shall b,
in strict compliance with pertinent City of Carmel ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9-122(x). and sections P3008.1 and .2 of the International Residential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter.
All installations shall be "open trench- inspected and approved by the Carmel Sewer Department before am backfillins is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation andior denial of future sewer permits and!or denial of water connections.

Sewer inspections should be requested at (317) 571-2648 one to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance.
