The Brookshire North HOA Board has received several complaints regarding a boat & boat trailer parked/stored in the drive at 12818 Andover Drive (north of 1261', west of Brookshire Parkway.) I'm sure the complaints come from adjoining neighbors who see the boat/trailer as an eyesore for them as well as the entire Subdivision. I totally agree with the neighbors-1 am hoping this violates a City Ordinance and he will be asked to remove the boat/trailer. Please let me know Ramona From: Brennan, Kevin S Sent: Wednesday, October 10, 2007 10:06 AM To: Hancock, Ramona B Cc: Mast, Darren; DeVore, Laura B; Lux, Pamela K Subject: RE: Boats,Trailers, etc The ordinance requires that if a recreational vehicle (RV, boats and other water craft) is parked in a driveway then it has to comply with the set back provisions of 3 times the height. Which means that a typical RV is required to be parked no closer than 30 feet from a property line. That being the law we do inspect per complaints and require compliance. I have found it difficult to pursue this because most properties in Clay Township do not have the distance from a property line so that an RV CAN be legally parked in a person's driveway. Most boats and other water craft can sometimes make it, but not an RV. I have gained voluntary compliance on those issues brought to our attention, but we do not "go looking for them" as a routine practice. Also, no vehicle (RV, boat, car, truck, etc.) can EVER be parked or stored on grass. That is ordinance and city code law. If the problem is inside the city limits then CPD is the best avenue of approach for this type of issue. The officer can conduct the inspection and "tag" the offending vehicle and then possible tow it after the deadline. Let us know what is a problem and where it is and we can do our magic. Kevin Brennan Code Enforcement Officer City of Carmel (317) 571-2423 kbrennan@oarmel.in.gov From: Hancock, Ramona B Sent: Wednesday, October 10, 2007 8:48 AM To: Brennan, Kevin S Subject: Boats,Trailers, etc 10,111/2007 Page 2 of 2 Kevin, Is there any City Ordinance regarding parking/storing boats & boat trailers in a driveway? I assume that is where the HOA covenants and restrictions come into play. If it were parked on the grass? I don't wish to burden you, however, the Board is trying so hard to clean up our Subdivision. As you know, sometimes people are very insensitive to their neighbors. Ramona 10111 %2007 ¦ 1 7'_l Si I T ?4 1 M.,
