Michigan Road Zionsville, IN 46077-0015 RE: ZONING ORDINANCE VIOLATION - TEMPORARY SIGN(S) Dear Sir or Madam: This letter is being provided to inform you that a temporary sign(s) violation has been brought to this department's attention. The sign(s) advertises for Huntington Bank, located at 10925 N. Michigan Rd., a property listed under your occupation. BUSINESSES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO DISPLAY TEMPORARY SIGNS, BANNERS, A-FRAME SIGNAGE, regardless of whether or not the sign is located on the business's premises. According to Section 25.07.01-4 Prohibited Signs, of the Carmel/Clay Zoning Ordinance the following sign(s) are prohibited: (f) Signs consisting of banners, posters, pennants, ribbons, streamers, strings of light bulbs, spinners or similar devices, unless they are permitted specifically by other sections of this Ordinance. (i) Signs which are located upon, over, or in any street or highway right-of-way, except for official highway signs; (k) Signs which are established on trees, utility poles, or fences. (1) Signs which advertise goods, products, services or facilities or direct persons to a different location (or to a telephone number at a different location) from where the sign is installed. (Off-premise signs require a Developmental Standards Variance from the Board of Zoning Appeals.) This letter shall serve as the first and final warning for this type of violation. Please permanently discontinue the use of these signs no later than January 3, 2007. Any further temporary sign advertising for this establishment after this date shall be documented and formal enforcement action will be taken.
