Re: Lakes at Hazel Dell, Section 1, Common Area 4a (V-I 8-02,' V-19-02)

Dear Mr. Scimia,
At the meeting held Monday, July 22,2002, the Carmel/Clay Board of Zoning Appeals took
the following action regarding the Development Standards Variance petitions filed by you for a
property located on the southwest comer of the intersection of DelIfield Boulevard West and Hazel
Dell Parkway:
APPROVED with Conditions: Docket No. V-18-02, petition for a Development Standards
Variance of Section 25.7.02-1 (b) in order to establish a second Subdivision Sign for The Lakes at
Hazel Dell Subdivision. The Board voted four (4) in favor, one (1) opposed, thereby approving the
petition with the following Condition:
1) That the sign shall conform to the Cannel/Clay Advisory Plan Conmlission's
approval of Docket No. 29-02 ADLS Amend.
APPROVED with Conditions: Docket No. V-19-02, a Development Standards Variance of
Section 25.7.02-1 (b) in order to establish unmatched Subdivision Sjgns. The Board voted four (4)
in favor, one (1) opposed, thereby approving the petition with the following Conditjon:
1) That the sign shall conform to the Carmel/Clay Advisory Plan Commission's
approval of Docket No. 29-02 ADLS Amend.

Please be advised that per Section 30.5.5: Time Limit of the Zoning Ordinance, the
aforementioned Development Standards Variance approvals are valid for one (1) year. By that
time, ei,ther continuous construction of site improvements must be underway, or a written request
for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and approval
granted by this Department prior to the expiration date. The expiration date of these approvals is
Tuesday, July 22,2003.
