3. Docket No. 08010013 ADLS Amend: Weston Pointe, Outlot 3 - Signage
The applicant seeks approval to add the color blue to the sign package and amend the trash
dumpster enclosure. The site is located at 11145 N Michigan Rd. and is zoned B-2/Business
within the US 421 Overlay. Filed by Dave Gilman of Williams Realty Group.
The applicant seeks committee approval to add the color blue to the sign package permitted color list.
Currently the sign package for Weston Pointe allows yellow, green, burgundy, and the black/white
day/night plex. A ne\v tenant, Reese Kitchens will be going into the newly constructed building and
would like to have blue for their sign. The sign will be 38.62 sq. ft. and is under the allotted 40 sq. f1.
The apphcant would also like approval to update their trash dumpster enclosure. Due to the rough
physical handling of the trash pickup trucks, the gates are being damaged on a consistent basis. The
applicant would like to install something more durable. A chain link fence with screening devises is
proposed. The color will be white. This will help mitigate the cost of continuously repairing the existing
wooden fence that is being damaged and be aesthetically pleasing at the same time.
Note: This item only requires final approval by this committee.
The Department of Community Services recommends the Special Studies Committee approve the
request after all comments. and concerns have been addressed.
