Dear Mr. Frankenberger:
At the meeting held Monday, February 25,2008, the Carmel Advisory Board of Zoning Appeals took the
following action regarding the Use Variance (UV) and Developmental Standards Variances (V) filed by you for
the property located at Old Meridian Street and Carmel Drive.
APPROVED: Docket No. 08010004 UV Use Variance for VetFaciliLylKennel in Old MeridianfMixed
Use District.
APPROVED: Docket Nos. 08020013 V and 08020014 V Developmental Standards Variances for number of
signs per tenant and upper story sunscreens.
APPROVED: Docket Nos. 08020016 V Developmental Standards Variance for signs not facing right-of-way with
the Commitment to reduce the sign by fifty percent. and 08020017 V Developmental Standards Variance for
entrance sunscreen Subject to pet waste stations.
Please be advised that per Section 30.05.05: Time Limit of the Zoning Ordinance, the aforementioned
Developmental Standards Variance approvals are valid for one (1) year. By that time, either continuous
construction of the improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of
the approval must have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the
approval is February 25, 2009.
Please be advised that per Section 25.07.07: Sign Permits of the Zoning Ordinance, the signs approved pursuant to
the aforementioned Developmental Standards Variances must be established wit:h:in one (1) year. The expiration
date of the approval is February 25, 2009.
When applying for applications for any permit regarding the decision contained within this approval,
please include a copy of this letter with your application materials in order to assist the Department's
review.
