RE: ZONING ORDINANCE VIOLATION - WINDOW SIGN(S)
Dear Sir or Madam:
This fetter is being provided to inform you that a window sign(s) viclation has been brought to this
department's attention. The sign(s) advertises "Nails & Spa" for Clay Nails, located at 12534 N.
Gray Rd., in the City of Carmel, a property listed under your ownership. According to the sign
regulations of the Carmel/Clay Zoning Ordinance the signage is in violation of the ordinance.
Section 25.07.62-12 S Illuminated Window Signs states:
1) NUMBER: One (1) sign per tenantlproperty owner and may be in
addition to any other permitted signs including but not limited to non -illuminated
Window Signs.
2) MAXIMUM SIGN AREA: Three (3) square feet
3) LOCATION: As per definition of Window Sign.
4) DESIGN: No restrictions except for those signs, which require approval
by the Commission. However, signs in Unified Centers must be of a

signs that are established in a Zoning District and/or Overlay Zone

7) SIGN PERMIT: Required.
8) FEES: Required.
Please note that you received a copy of this letter in March 2007. The fact that you are receiving a
second copy of this notice is indicative that you have been unresponsive following the receipt of the
first letter. Please have the signs removed from the premises no later than February 22,

This letter is being provided to inform you that window sign(s) violation has been
brought to this department's attention. The signs advertise for businesses located
within the O'Malia's shopping center, located at 472E 126t' Street E., in the City
of Carmel, a property listed under your ownership. According to the sign
regulations of the Carmel/Clay Zoning Ordinance the signage is in violation of the
ordinance. Section 25.07.02-12 B
Illuminated Window Signs states:
1) NUMBER: One (1) sign per tenant/property owner and may be in
addition to any other permitted signs including but not limited to non -Illuminated
Window Signs.
2) MAXiMUM SIGN AREA: Three (3) square feet
3) LOCATION: As per definition of Window Sign.
4) DESIGN: No restrictions except for those signs, which require approval
by the Commission. However, signs in Unified Centers must be of a
similar design and style of construction.
5) ILLUMINATION: Permitted.
