FINDINGS OF FACT. DEVELOPMENTAL STANDARDS VARIANCE
1. The approval of this variance will not be injurious to the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of the
community because:
The siqn has been constructed on private property, does not obstruct or otherwise neqatively affect the
adjacent public street riqhts-of-way and was desiqned in a tasteful manneL
2. The use and value of the area adjacent to the property included in the variance will not be affected in a
substantially adverse manner because:
The siqn was desiqned and constructed to complement the surroundinq area.
3. The strict application of the terms of the Zoning Ordinance to the property will result in practical difficulties in the
use of the property because:
The siqn, in its present location, best utilizes the qrade. riqht-of-wayand parkinq confiquration to promote the
streetscape concept for Old Meridian Street and identify the property. The siqn does not interfere with drivers'
vision when they pass throuqh the intersection of Carmel Drive and Old Meridian Street.
DECISION
IT IS THEREFORE the decision of the Carmel/Clay Board of Zoning Appeals that Developmental Standards Variance
Docket No. is granted, subject to any con(jitions stated in the minutes of this
Board, which are incorporat~d herein by reference and)78de a part hereof.
