Plat H:\1anet\EBM\TOC 93-02 PV.wpd TABLE OF CONTENTS o o D o o D o D o o o o o o o o o o o EXPLANATION The Evangelical Baptist Missions, the Applicant, provides training and other administrative support to mobilize local churches on either side of the ocean, facilitating global ministry. They assist churches with every detail of preparing and sending missionaries around the world. To carry out these purposes, they are acquiring the subject real estate as the site of their office. The subject real estate comprises approximately 3.64 acres and is generally located east of Shelbome Road and northwest of 96th Street. It is zoned Rl (Residence). Approximately 2 of the 3.64 acres is the platted Lot 331 within Section 8 of the Shelbome Greene residential subdivision. This is the only lot within the plat, and is otulined in white on the aerial photograph included as Exhibit 2. The balance of the real estate, or approximately 1.64 acres, is immediately south of this platted lot and is occupied, in part, by the College Baptist Church. In order to build their office, the Evangelical Baptist Missions needs two approvals. With respect to all 3.64 acres, they need a use variance and, to this end, will appear before the Board of Zoning Appeals on August 26,2002. With respect to the platted Lot 331, however, they also need a vacation of the plat and applicable covenants. To this end, we will appear before the Plan Commission on August 20, 2002. The plat to be vacated is included as Exhibit 3 in this informational brochure. In this regard, the following are noteworthy: 1. The only lot within Shelbome Greene, Section 8, is Lot 331, comprising over 2 acres; 2. The continuation of the plat will prohibit the combination of Lot 331 with adjoining real estate for the development of a single use; 3. All owners of the land within the plat have consented both to the vacation of the Plat and the vacation of the applicable Covenants.
