ORDINANCE D-2765-25
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL,
INDIANA AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF
$1,067,420 FROM THE GENERAL FUND (#101) TO THE CITY PROPERTY
MAINTENANCE BUDGET (#1206).
Synopsis: This ordinance appropriates $1,067,420.00 to support street repaving costs. This
additional appropriation addresses damages incurred in 2024 to the 106th Street overpass
on Keystone. The City of Carmel anticipates recovering approximately $1 million for the
repairs from the driver’s insurance which will be deposited into the General fund.
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of One Million Sixty-Seven Thousand Four Hundred
Twenty Dollars ($1,067,420.00) is needed to pay for paving within City Property Maintenance;
and
WHEREAS, the General Fund #101 has excess funds in the amount of One Million Sixty-
Seven Thousand Four Hundred Twenty Dollars ($1,067,420.00) to appropriate to City Property
Maintenance (#1206).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Carmel, Indiana, that the following sum of money is hereby appropriated from the General Fund
(#101) to the City Property Maintenance Budget (#1206) for the purposes specified herein, subject
to applicable laws, as follows:
$1,067,420.00 from the General Fund (#101)

City Property Maintenance (Fund #1206): Line Item 4350200-Street Repaving -
$1,067,420.00
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and signing
by the Mayor.
