Subject: RE: Plan Submittal Meeting for Fire Station 45
Dear Ms. Conn:
Following are our responses to the review questions dated 2-18.
7. Please address the removal of some parking spaces and show that there is still enough parking available.
The total existing parking spaces before construction is 105 spaces. 4 spaces are being removed leaving a total of 101
parking spaces. Based on the amount of parking spaces required per 27.08 of the ordinance, the Fire Station was
treated the same as a boarding house which is one space per bed or 15 parking spaces. The Government Center has
13,616 square feet and base on a professional office which requires 1 space per 300 square feet, 45 spaces need to be
provided. Combined, 60 parking spaces are required and 101 spaces are being provided.
2. Some new trees maybe planted in the road right of way; this may need approval from the county highway dept.
We have eliminated the planting of trees in the right-of-way.
3. DOCS has a concern with fhe project taking out more trees than what will be planted. Perhaps you can re-locate the
trees on-site.
Ten (10) new trees will be planted, on site, to replace the ten (t0) trees that are called out to be demolished.
4. Will there be any new signage? If so, please provide details.
There is no new signage.
We regret that this information was not received earlier and hope that these responses address your concerns.
Unfortunately, we do not have all the email addresses to which your correspondence was addressed so we kindly request
that you forward these comments to those persons that were copied the original email. Thank you.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,

Trudy and all:
In TAC, it was discussed that several trees could be added in the front around the building to offset the number being
removed, and we discussed a change in the plant material bordering the building and the roadway. A revised plan should
have been submitted for the Department to review, and up to this point no plan or written communication has been
received about the changes in landscaping. Thank you.
