Dear Kevin,
I first would like to say that we favored the annexation of Northwood hills by the City of Carmel. I am
anxiously awaiting a safe pathway connecting us to our north neighboring subdivision Plum Creek via
River Road & Medalist Parkway''
The matter at hand is ttat, I have always felt we live in a gem of a neighborhood that allowed us to raise
ourchildren in a safe and beautiful environment with elbow room and nature surrounds. Unfortunately,
over the years and most recently, we have experienced an MLLi of low to no maintenance bomeowners
Beautification awards via our "Tkighborhood Association" have Fallen flat in their attempt to enthuse
homeowners to take interest in their property and houses.
Several homeowners have cut down major trees to make room for parking trailers and campers, etc., and a
recent newcomer on Forest Lane installed black chain link fencing and has plans to cut trees on their south
yard to make room for their camperf You get the picture I'm sire.
As per a recent conversation with Pam ar Rachel, I have compiled a list of homeowners residing in
Northwood [-Tills that we fret are violating city ordinances. Since our moving into Northwood Hills over
15 years ago, we have been sickened by the lack of homeeue and tot maintemince of marry surromilis>g
neighbor. One of the biggest property violations in the most recent years has been non operational vehicle
storage and campers being parked in front or on sides of 25+homes. In addilioq the lack of exterior
property and home maintenance is becoming more apparent in the southern most end of the neighborhood
due to flood water levels possibly, but nonetheless, the deterioration is unsightly We have sited gutter loss,
siding deterioration, peeling paint collapsed above ground pools, and the list could go on_
Please feel free to call mein the need further discussion is necessary- We do not wish to Ise expased the
reporting party, as we don't anticipate "happy campers" upon receiving city notices. We do not stand
alone in our attempt ror city compliance; however, r just don't feel the "Neighborhood Association" is
being taken seriously by the marry violators. We sited obvious wolations: however, welcome your
observances as well with any additional citations you feel are warranted in support of our efforts.
Thank you in advance For your time spent in supporting what Carmel works so hard to achieve and
maintain. look forward to watching a transition back to the beautiful gem Northwood Hills used to be.
