NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE
BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS FOR THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA
Docl{ct Nos. 08020008V through 08020012V
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Zoning Appeals for the City of
Carmel, Indiana will hold a public hearing (the "Public Hearing") on the 24th day of March,
2008, at 6:00 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers, Second Floor, City Hall, One Civic Square,
Cannel, Indiana 46032, regarding a request for sign variance requests pertaining to the real estate
identified in Docket Nos. 08020008V through 08020012V (the "Application") and said real
estate (the "Real Estate") is legally described on Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto.
The Real Estate is zoned B-6/Business and it is approximately 2.4 acres in size. The Real
Estate is located north of 116th Street, east of and adjacent to US 31 North and west of and
adjacent to PelIDsylvania Street. The common address of the Real Estate is 11900 N.
Pennsylvania Street, Carmel, In. 46032.
The proposed Application seeks certain sign variances from Sections 25.07 of the Sign
Chart and Sections 25.07.02-10 (b) and 25.07.02-10 (c) of the Sign Ordinance regarding: (i) the
pem1itted size of address numbers; (ii) the number of pelmitted signs; (iii) the number of signs
facing a right-of-way; (iv) signs not facing a right-of-way; and, (v) signs that exceed the
allowable square footage.
Copies of the proposed Application are on file for examination at the Department of
Community Services, One Civic Square, Carmel, IN 46032, telephone 317/571-2417.
All interested persons desiring to present their views on the above-proposed Application,
either in wTiting or verbally, will be given an opportunity to be heard at the above-mentioned
time and place.
Written objections to the proposed Application that are filed with the Department of
Community Services either prior to or at the Public Hearing will be considered and oral
comments concerning the proposed Application will be heard at the Public Hearing.
The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.

Begi nning at a point on the East line of the said Southwest Quarter Section North 00 degrees 05
minutes 40 seconds West (Assumed Bearing) 2056.33 feet from the Southeast corner of the said
Quarter Section; thence North 00 degrees 05 minutes 40 seconds West along the said East line
565.38 feet to the Northeast corner of the said Southwest Quarter Section; thence South 88
degrees 45 minutes 10 seconds West along the N0l1h line of the said Quarter Section 586.00 feet
to the East limited access right-of-way line for U.S. #31; thence South 00 degrees 04 minutes 52
