Filed by the Carmel Departmentof Conununity Services on behalf of the Carmel Plan Commission. Summary: Last fall the Plan COrn1i1ission unanimously recommended and the Carniel City Council adopted 2-508-07, which eliminated the exemptions from the minimum lot area and setback requirements for lots in Qualifying Subdivi'Sions (ROSO). It has come to-the Department's attention that there is a corresponding section in the Subdivision Control Ordinance which should also have been deleted; it reads as follows: 7.00.01 Major Subdivisions with community water and community sewer that meets: the Standard Open Space Requirement (SOSR) 'set forth in Section 7.01 shall be exempt from the area, yard, width, and coverage standards set forth in Seetiqns 5.,04.02, ~.04.03,6.04.02, 6.04.03, 7.04.02, 7.04.03, 8.04.02, 8.04.03, 9.04.02,9.04.03, 10.05.02, and 10.05.03 of the Zoning Ordinance, however, the minimum distance between dwellings shall be six (6) feet.
